Dr. Leila Yoonessi
MD. MPH.

Dr. Leila Yoonessi is a pediatric pulmonologist practicing in Long Beach, CA.  She practices pediatric pulmonology and general pediatrics.  Dr. Yoonessi holds a BA in psychobiology with a minor in religious studies from Occidental College. She graduated cum laude and was awarded a psychobiology departmental award for her academic achievements. She then studied at the University of Southern California where she earned Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in health care promotion. She went on to complete her medical degree at New York Medical College. She relocated to California to rejoin her family where she completed her pediatric residency at Los Angeles County University Southern California. She is currently a board certified pediatrician who has several research interests.  Publications include Progression and Prognostic Indicators of Bronchial and Alveolar Disease in Children with Sickle Cell Disease, and Environmental factors contributing to lung function and growth velocity decline in Sickle Cell Disease.  Above all, she remains committed to patient advocacy, research, integrative work, medicine, preventive medicine, holistic health, and non-profit work.  Dr Yoonessi enjoys horseback riding, hiking with her 2 Shiba Inus and camping for fun.  Dr Yoonessi Jr. is overjoyed to be working alongside her mother who has always been dedicated to evidence based medicine, charity work, and community outreach projects!

Angela So
CPNP-PC

Angela So, CPNP-PC is a nationally certified pediatric nurse practitioner practicing in Long Beach, CA. Angela holds a BA in Psychology as well as a BA in Health and Humanity, emphasis in Bioethics, from the University of Southern California. (Fight on!) Angela also holds both a BS and an MS in Nursing after graduating from the Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program at Columbia University in the city of New York. She has previously worked at a rural health clinic, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), and a pediatric urgent care prior to joining the team at My Pediatrics. She is passionate about providing the highest quality care using evidence-based medicine for our pediatric patient population.

Dr. Dixi Patel is a Board Certified Pediatrician who completed her training at the State University of New York-Downstate Medical Center and has been serving the LA/OC area for the last 4 years. She is committed to providing excellent healthcare with a holistic approach by focusing on the mental, social, & physical well-being of her patients as well as health promotion and disease prevention. Fun Fact: She is also a Singer/Songwriter with original music out on streaming platforms, and is known as the "TheSinginDoc" on Tiktok. She has gone viral for singing to her patients!
